Fences 5 "Peak" view super laggy

I'm using Fences 5 and with triple screen on Windows 11. My fences folders are located on the 2nd screen. Everytime I use keyboard shortcut to enable Peak view, it become super laggy to navigate in the fence folders. Does anyone know what has caused this problem and is there a solution out there? Thank you all for your advice!

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need few more information.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Fences 5 full version number.

Hi Cyber1e, we think we've got it fixed and have a new version we're testing. The issue was related to a fix we made related to Peek when Blur Backgrounds is disabled. Feel free to give the fixed version (v5.89) a try here if you'd like to help confirm the fix; otherwise hang on and hopefully we'll be able to get this released soon.

Fences Beta 5.89 has been released.  For details, please see:

TLDR: It fixes performance issues with Peek.

Running 5.89 and is peek is extremely laggy. 2-3 seconds to display and like 10-15 seconds before clicked item opens (gets a spinning wheel in between). I used to use all the time at work for efficiency but no longer can use this method. Does the peak work any differently in 6? Just upgraded from 4 to 5 recently when i upgraded to windows 11 but maybe ill try 6 if it works any differently.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. You should try Fences 6. But, please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here first : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest Fences 5 version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
