Excluding an application entirely

I have tried to exclude two different applications entirely because they were so hard on the eyes.

One is an older app called "FileSync", which I'm not surprised wasn't compatible since it's so old.

But the other is Directory Opus which is the very latest version.

NOTE: I am reading everything I can in help and in the forums to see if it's something I am doing wrong - so please don't bash - but feel free to show me where I missed something along the way.  This stuff is complicated for an old guy like me!  LOL

I am attaching a screenshot of DO just so you can see what I mean.  (well apparently I'm not, I don't have a server to upload it to)

 

Please help - I've purchased the product and the skins and I'm spending countless hours trying to learn (and make Windows 7 tolerable LOL).

I will say that sometimes even new programs don't like to be skinned by Windowblinds. Most will be fine, but every now and then there are some that just dont like it.

WB configuration - settings -per application - add

 

 

that doesn't work?

 

you can host to a free site like photobucket, etc then post the http address in the insert above

Hey thanks for the advice guys - I knew about those sites but I thought I had read that they either changed to pay-for-play or restricted their use so forms wouldn't work.  Guess you can't trust what you read on the intarwebs LOL (who woulda thought!)

You may want to read this thread.  There are others also having some trouble with skinning DO.

OH DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can deal with ANY other application not working right - but I hate Windows Explorer SO much - and Directory Opus is such an incredible program.  Tabs in file management - all the things M$ should have done years ago.

 

And at least if WB could just ignore DO and leave it alone - but it mangles it!!!!!

HEYYYYYYYYYYY STARDOCK PEOPLE - ANY WORD ON THIS?

The 'official' means of contacting support is by email to support@stardock.com .  The forums are mostly user supported and Stardock support does check the support forums when they can.

When you email support you will get an auto-response with a trouble ticket number.  Please note that support tickets are answered on a fist-in - - first-out basis and may take up to 48 hours during the work week for an intitial reply.

You can also use https://esupport.stardock.com/

Oh Hey THANKS Hankers - I will pursue that route.

All I'm really looking for is WB to be able to ignore an app completely - however - being a developer myself I know that "simple" little task may be away more complicated than it seems like it should be.  All I can do is ask right?

 

PS: Anyone know of a Windows Explorer replacement that has "tabs" and works with WB?   I bought XYplorer and it's ok, but because it's written in VB6 there are far too many glitches and IMHO no future for an app that isn't going dotnet at this point.   All I really want is tabs! LOL

Use QTTabbar. It's not a replacement, just an add-on, and it's free. It also works on 7 x64 (I'd die without it).
