This has never been a big issue for me but this same thing has been happening for as long as I can remember on every version of Windows 11 and every iteration of Start 11. I currently have an SP8 and am using a Dev version of Windows 11 so obviously it could be the Dev version, but I assure you this has been going on for years on both insider and release versions of Windows 11. Also, when using the stylus on the start button, the menu alternates between the Start 11 and Windows 11 version (fun to watch). Again, this has been happening for years on the Surface Pro 5 and 8. But because I generally use insider versions and mostly use a mouse or touch, I never brought it up.
Minor issue for me and I still love the program. It's been stable for the longest time now, but I tend not to play with the settings.
