ummmm... I'm a little shy telling people this cause I don't wanna sound like a begger or some sort of spammer...
I hope this post wasn't too long... I have been working on this and other things skin related that I am about to bust if I don't get it out there. I have been working on this for years literally from skins to the skin report to making a non-profit art and skin site and I am getting close to that.
S here it goes.
For those who remember a site called Skin It.net, I am making a site that is very simular in what that site used to do (I don't rememeber why it disappeared. It had so much promise. I even tried to contact the owners... 
).
They even have an official skin made when WinAmp was in 3.0
Basically, it will be a site for skinner to help each other and to show off their works in progress. Another main feature about the site is that skinners can have thei r skins be under GPL so if they don't finish their skin, someone else can... BETTER YET one guy can just come up with an idea and try to collaberate with others to making it come true.
EVEN BETTER is that as a skin author can allow, under GPL, to let other update the skin when the progam it runs on gets updated. Something that for WindowBlinds, DesktopX and Nextstart all have in common. (especially Windowblinds)
Can you imagine a repository of skins that if you wanted to, you can update? Get help updating it, learn the process of skinning while updating it and then publish it?
A big plus here also is that people who contribute to the site can earn money as well. The site has advertising on it, but as super skinners (those who have more than 1001 downloads on one of their skins) can have a personal affiliate page (I call them the Announcement Pages) where you can have almost any link you want. If you have an affiliate link to a website that you get paid for sending people to then go ahead and post it. If you like a cool product like the Sony Playstation Portable and you have a affiliate link to ThinkGeek, then post it.
Rules apply for this of course (like for example, no poker or drug links, and if your going to post products, it has to be tech related or music related or skinning related) and there will even be an example page of how to make the most out of your affiliate/announcement page.
All the earnings are yours, Skin This nor eSourcemagazine wants it. Its a thanks for adding content to the site. PLUS PLUS on the links pages, you get to have your affiliate links added their too and you get yut own category (Jafo's Picks for example... not saying Jafo is on my site, its just an example)
ALSO NOTE:
If you have a story you want to publish, or a link you want to share you can without signing in. Just click on the "Submit News" link or the "Link" button on the top navigation bar of the site. If it is approaved it will show up. Skinning related or technology related please (although, if it is entertainment related... NO RUMORS... it might get posted if it is in the Other news area).
If you have a website related to skinning, post it. If you have a contest for skinning, post that too.
It would be better if you sign in so you can work your way to being a super writer of which gets the same benifits as a super skinner, but its up to you.

Yes my site is still in the alpha stage and the TOS is still in the works. The site is a little unstable so if you do make an account it might not be there at the end of next week cause of some database solutions being done... The site does come out of the wood works right after that so stay tuned for an announcement.
The site will also have a Wiki for skin development and the history of skinning... SWEET!!!
