First off everything I know about networks you could fit in this ->.<- small dot
I have never set up a network before and I've gotten pretty far but I am stuck. I am trying to connect a Roku SoundBridge 500 http://www.rokulabs.com/products/soundbridge/index.php to my PC so that I can play my Digital Media over my home stereo. I have an Actiontek 54Mbps Wireless DSL Gateway with 4-port Router http://www.actiontec.com/products/broadband/54mbps_wireless_gateway_4p/index.php My PC is connected to the router through Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet which is onboard my mainboard. My SB500 is connected through a wireless connection 802.11b/g Mixed Mode and SSID Broadcast is diabled. The router I configured with directions from my ISP using its HTML based menu. I can connect to the internet with my PC and I can play internet radio and udpate software on my SB500. SB500 requires a music server and I am using Windows Media Connect. WMC recognises the SB500 and I've identified which folders to share. My Network Places folder shows both the shared folders on my PC and the SB500. XP's firewall is disabled. In Nortons Internet Security I've place my home network in its trusted zone. So it seems that all the equipment is recognising each other, except that the SB500 doesn't see the music library. I've probably forgot to do some basic network thing, but like I've got no clue
Thanks for any and all help
