This is just a stab in the dark, but maybe a light-hearted guide to..
You might be off to a bad start here if:
- You come in with more attitude than a grizzly out of hibernation and a bigger chip on your shoulder than Edmonton has shopping.
- ..if your queries or questions are all asked in a
way too demanding nature. I bet if you ask nicely, you'll be answered not only more quickly, but more accurately as well. You do, afterall, get what you give.
- ..if you're not clear in your thread. Starting a new thread saying, I've installed this program, where do I put the files? isn't helping anyone. How clear is that? If you're needing installation help for any program, any and all Stardock applications come bundled with handy little readme's and such to help you along your way. Should you require further assistance, PLEASE be so kind as to give some details.
State what you downloaded, if it's the shareware/freeware version, what version number [sometimes helps] and so on. Ending a thread of this nature with a pleasantry like "..many thanks in advance!" or "thanks everyone!" does wonders.
- ..if you post twice.. Why even bother? Do you really think on a site that sees millions of unique visitors each month that your thread was overlooked by
everyone? When you make your post, why not just wait a while for a response? Surely if you were polite in asking and waited long enough someone would respond, no?

Threads with titles like HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLP PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ won't necessarily get you a faster or quicker response either, so, if it's not much bother, try to keep those CAPS to a minimum, eh?
- .. if you don't think before post. I bet many internet misinterpretations could be avoided if those who are frustrated or angry took that extra 15 seconds out of their life to more accurately convey themselves, no?
- ..if you're openly hostile to anyone right off the bat. If a given program isn't working, and a bug is ruled out, it's probably the user, not the program. Saying stardock suckz!!! because you didn't install WindowBlinds before downloading a WindowBlind is
not Stardock's issue, try not to make it theirs. A fault in the software is. See the difference?
- ..if you start a thread to openly and with much hostility whine and complain about why you had something rejected. Be real, here. All almost two million [+] users here have had things rejected. I've personally had multiple rejections
in a row!. Now, was that an indication that WinCustomize sucks or that perhaps my work needed to be of a higher quality [etc] first? My bet's on the latter. Just e-mail an admin.. There's dozens here. Pick and e-mail and keep it off the boards, eh?
- ..if you freely state that your work is better than almost everyones when you've had a rejection. This is not only rude and ignorant but you only come off as an arrogant, disgruntled user - someome I'm, personally, disinclined to show any empathy for.
- ..if you chastise
anyone who is trying to help you. It's just bad manners.
I'm sure there's loads more those are just a few I conjured up whilst keeping up on these boards. I'm by no means an angel, but I have learned lots, since becoming a member/subscriber. Anyone else have something to add?
