Possible Permission

I have created 2 skins or blinds, which so far are based on "Diamond". I have made some changes, recolored some images, and made some changes or tweaks. I am hesitant to upload them without asking permission. It is not my wish to cause any trouble or discomfort. It may be that permission is not possible. And that is ok. I am still in the learning process, and I have a long way to go. There is still work to be done on them, they are almost done, but they both need fine tuning. It may be that I will only just use them for desktop screenshots and for my own personal use. I could upload them anyway, and let the moderators make the decision. If any case, thank you for all the help you have provided.

Yes, permission is mandatory.  You can alter a skin for your own use, but by uploading it you would be 'copying and distributing', something only the copyright holder can consent to.

"copyright" is a straight-forward term....it's the 'right' to 'copy'.

Most established skinners will give consent, but it's never taken for granted without formal request...
