Or it could be that the Sins forum is bright white on black, and the GalCiv2 forums are also bright white on black. The Elemental forums were dark grey on black, followed by lighter grey on black.
The text here as always looked black to me. It doesn't look grey, which is why I didn't get what people were saying about grey text. I just figured they were using another browser than I was.
If I spend the first half of this post swearing at you, I don't get a pass for it because the second half is on topic.
You opened with a direct attack on the on-topic part of the thread, then later complained about lack of maturity. Sorry, but that doesn't fly.
See, I wasn't attacking the on topic part of the topic. I was attacking the fact that I thought there were More Important things to be thinking about, like Basic Forum Functionality, which should have been addressed long before a color issue. A lot of the people posting, like myself, couldn't post a new thread At All because of the logo issue which Bara has now dealt with.
Look at your own posts for maturity content. You get what you deserve Funny, I remember you agreeing with me on that in another thread..
Indeed Annatar I did agree with you on the topic in another thread. But notice in my initial replies I was attacking the issue of parts of the forum not working, I wasn't attacking my fellow posters Or calling Anyone names. First I was attacking a issue (logo blocking things) and I don't see how that has any relevance on maturity level. No where in any replies do I call anyone names or do I imply that people who didn't like certain color schemes are less or more mature than others. I brought up the fact that I thought we could all be mature about this and Not call people names or down on them for liking or not liking various color schemes. THEN...you called me an ass
See what I'm getting at now, brother? I'm sorry if I came off the wrong way, I wasn't trying to attack the color issue at all, I was attacking what I considered a more important issue being over-looked. Most of my initial posts in this topic were rather "light hearted" and it was pretty obvious I was joking. The first "serious" reply to this topic was my reply where I said there were more important things that needed to be dealt with IMO.
I'm sorry that you and Tridus both seem to have taken what I said out of context. I do indeed know that sometimes the way I word my posts comes off as passive aggressive, but sometimes that's the best way to get people's attention on important issues. Over-all though I was trying to set a tone that all of us could be mature about the issue. I do apologize for calling you immature. That was immature of ME, but I also don't take too kindly to being called an ass for trying to keep everyone on a semi-decent level which is what I was mainly trying to do in my first serious reply. That and I wanted that logo fixed Asap as it was keeping me from updating my stickied post in the Elemental Ideas section.
Bara fixed all that so it's a rather moot point anyway. (Go Bara
)
I don't dislike the new style (not very good choices of colors for the forum aside?) but the previous version was really sweet to me. But of course, I'm a weirdo. If I ever put online the Dying Sun web (suuuuuuure ), I swear that ye may like it or not but ye would have to suffer its style... until I find something more offensive*!!!
On the colors of the new model... Meh. They match but they just seem to be more of... dirty, unclean, old. Surely it's intended and, hey, I'd have all the posts be like the Quotes.
* no way in hell I'm using green text in red background or similar. Even I have limits.
I happen to think your little pic there with that layout looks particularly BAD ASS!!! That's awesome. I think it would be an improvement if we had a color scheme like that here. Then again I'm into the whole dark and evil thing...so maybe that's just me
