Here are this month's website results:
Traffic was significantly higher this month than last month. We had 271,377 visitors this month with ~140,000 of them being unique people. This translates into several million page views. A 45% increase over April. I don't think we'll see that kind of increase in June.
94% of our users were using Internet Explorer. 4% were using Netscape and 2% were using something else. That's very unuusal as Netscape has roughly a 25% browser share.
While 55% of the visitors here came from bookmarks or typed it in, 45% of our users were referred here from other sites. Referrals are the life blood of any new site and this site is still only a couple of months old.
Therefore we would like to thank these sites who sent us a lot of traffic:
Stardock which provided 68% of referrals.
Snoopsoft with 8%
Deskmod with 5%
DeviantArt with 2.6%
LS2K.org with .31%
Lightstream Desigh with .18%
Dangeruss-Industries with .17%
Desktopian with .16%
Betanews with .15%
Shellfront with .11%
Alexandrie with .10%
ShellCity with .10%
VirtualPlastic with .08%
and everyone else who sent users our way. Without you there'd be in WinCustomize worth visiting.
In June we hope to continue to get Stardock's % of the referrals down with the goal being less than 60% in June. Deskmod's passing has brough an 18% increase in overall traffic. We welcome Deskmod users and hope to make them feel at home here. Let us know what we can do for you. The Admins of this site have long been Deskmod fans and as some of you know, Deskmod was running a Stardock server (which is being used to help launch the next project) -- the hard disk that failed wasn't from the SD server.

We eagerly away Gorman's next project!
The original plan was to only introduce 1 new section per month tops but in June we'll be putting 6 new sections through the vetting process to try to pick up some of the slack by the decrease in high volume skin sites. Those sections that get reasonable amounts of activity will become permanent additions to the site.
Thanks so much for bearing with us as we implement new features and try to experiment with different concepts.
