As many of you may know, I'm an FIA/FIM Motor Race Official, working the Australian Grands Prix, the MotoGPs and the World Superbike events.
Each year I record them, as when you 'work them' you get to see one [or two] corners REALLY well ....but not the actual whole thing, so although I was there....I didn't see much of it, really.
Australia is just going through the transition to Digital TV broadcasts, and a dedicated Sports channel [One] was setup and its first real event was the 2009 AGP.
Cleverly, although they managed [and I recorded] the first 2 days events....about 7 hours each, they managed to transmit a station identification on the race day.....for 7 hours....and coverage actually started with the post-race wrap-up. Bit bloody useless.
This year [2009] was my 25th consecutive International Australian Formula One race ...so was fairly 'significant' [to me], yet I ain't got it.....
So,
If anyone out there does have it [preferably in an English-language transmission] and can manage to send a copy to me [DVD or VHS], not only will I be eternally grateful, but I'll pay for an Object Desktop or Wincustomize Subscription/update as a thankyou. [first in best-dressed]...
I'm sure it's all my fault...for not replaying it sooner and finding the issue in time to possibly have chased it up on replay/repeat somewhere.
BTW, not only was it my 25th Inter AGP ....it was my 30th consecutive AGP [there are only about half a dozen of us out of the thousand or so Officials who have done all 30 consecutively].
