This week I downloaded a translucent blue skin that I am finding is very versatile.
I have created several different looks with just the one skin; SeaBlue by Cavan1. Here I showcase two of those looks:
The first look I created, I used a wall that was in my collection. I had problems like I did last time I did that, because I couldn't find the wall on the library page. It turns out I had to use the link to the windowblind that the wall came with, which is Smooth X by The AVMAN.

Slider by Skinhit is the Iconpackage I used here. It's a basic greyscale look that compliments any blind and loads with ease. I say that because there are a few packages that I have a hard time getting to load (sometimes only some of the icons will load initially and some of them won't load at all without deleting and redownloading.. go figure!).
I decided on the Turbine Widget pack by philmar83 for the main DesktopX feature in this grouping. The set is very complete and sharp looking . The animation is constant, and so tends to use up some ram but it isn't so severe that it crashes my measly 512megs of memory. The clock can be found here: Turbine Clock V1. I also slipped in Desktop Elements (water drops) by Jaramia just for something different. It doesn't really do anything but hey I'm all about decorating , and that qualifies as decoration!! I tried making several of them to see what it'd look like, but was unsatisfied with the results. because of the design of the droplets, it looks very much like tiles, and less like an actual splash mark.
I used the E-Cube CursorFX design by Seabass for my cursor. I love the graphics on this one and it really is fast and the pointer is rather precise, which as I've mentioned before is important to me.
Well that was the original look. Now for something completely different, yet very familiar ....
I kept the same cursor and blind, but changed up some other things.
First I grabbed Krim by jalentorn. This is a great Iconpackage and I can't wait to see what else it will work with. The coloring has a depth to it you don't always see with a package based on greyscale with a splash of color, and the icon design is very attractive to me .
I changed the wall to Dark Emerald eXtreme by sAArge. The wall could be considered busy but I am drawn to walls that have three dimensional depth to their designs. Looking at the wall, you feel like you could just keep going further and further in.
I debated adding more to this setup, but decided to go minimal with everything else, to maximize the effect of the wall. I think it worked well.

Over all, this created a totally different look from the first, the one looking almost business like, except for the animations, the other totally artsy , all done with just some minor changes.
