That's right. We have to disable the Forum RSS Feeds temporarily. It appears as if some people out there have their readers setup to poll the server for an update every 30 seconds or so. Basically, it's killing the server that the forums all reside on and leeching bandwidth like crazy. There is also evidence that some Bots (Spiders, Google etc) are crawling the feeds as well, very frequently. We've taken the usual precautions to prevent this (since we discovered it) but it may take upwards of a day for the bots to recognize that they should no longer be requesting the rss feeds.
That said, in order to keep the forums usable, RSS Feeds will be disabled until we can assure that it's not going to take down the forums again. I'll keep everyone posted on progress as there is.
(As an aside, this is purely to inform everyone. I won't be fielding questions regarding this matter.)
