About a week ago, I put a new page up on shellscape.org for mattahan's latest icon set. DoctorNick had converted them to Windows compatible filenames (PNG and an IP) and zipped them up in a much smaller download. We plopped it up on the net and let a few people know. A couple of news items were posted. Later on the same day, Shellscape had the 6th spot in the search results.
Today? Through 40 pages of search results for 'buuf deuce' you can't find Shellscape. After about 15 pages the results arent even relevant. I've also tried the following searches...
- mattahan shellscape
- buuf shellscape
- deuce shellscape
Give me a break. Google doesnt have the site indexed for all three searches, yet it was there a few days ago? If ever there was a case for erroneous removal of a result set from Google, This would be it. Are they being overzealous in trying to remove sites which attempt a googlebomb? Does anyone else have any experience with this happening? Can this be reversed?
