ok, i see what was happening....
my objectdock plus installation stopped loading on startup after i did a windows in-place upgrade (repair) so i was testing out ways to fix it per suggestions i found in the forum, including renaming the objectdock link in the startup folder(s)....
this sort of worked in that objectdock loaded on startup, and both of my docks displayed, but when i went into settings i could only control (change settings) for one of the docks, there was no way to change settings for the other dock... and when i clicked the settings link you show in your jpeg i got the message that it was a premium feature that i would have to buy to use.
so what was happening was a regular version of objectdock (no plus) was loading on startup instead of my plus version - what's wered is that the regular version loaded both docks but only let me edit one.
if i create a link on the taskbar and click it everything works fine, objectdock plus loads and the settings link you show in your jpeg works as well, i don't get the "buy" message.
so........how do i get objectdock plus to load on startup? there are shortcuts in the following startup folders:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Stardock\ObjectDock
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Stardock ObjectDock.lnk
and both shortcuts reference the same thing:
target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\ObjectDock\ObjectDock.exe"
start in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\ObjectDock"
is there a registry edit i can make? an ini file edit?
i've tried setting objectdock (settings panel) to load on startup and i've also unchecked this the box, neither works.
i've also tried to reinstall my purchased version of objectdock and that doesn't work either.
any ideas? i don't want to have to settle for just loading objectdock manually from the taskbar whenever i start my pc.
