Problem Locating Logons

When I had XP, I knew where to find the logons.  I can't locate them in Win7.  Anybody know where they are?  Or are they simply jpgs located in a special place?

Try looking here. C:\ProgramData\Stardock\LogonStudio Vista\Logons

Wiz: I tried that but no such folders.  I've tried doing searches for the specific logons which show in the actual program and also no luck.  A real mystery to me.

bachbeet, go to the folder that Wiz mentioned, find the folder for the logon that you are looking for. Using notepad, open the ini file located inside the folder. You should see a line of code toward the bottom that tells you in which directory the image for that logon is saved.

I find the ones I have created/installed in the folder I noted previously. (or at least the image,thumb and ini is in there.) The default (Windows) and included logons I find here:C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Object Desktop\LogonStudio\DefaultLogons. It seems odd that they aren't all in the same place.

I appreciate all the attempts to answer my question but I still can't locate the logons.  I even did a search on the C drive for .ini files.  Of course, that turned up over a 1000 and it didn't help.  I don't have any of the folders Wiz mentioned.  Still a mystery to me.  I think they are actually just wallpapers that the program converts to logons.

You may rest assured that you DO have a Program Data folder in the C drive.It's hidden.

 

**WARNING**  This can give you access to files you shouldn't mess with if you're not an advanced user!!!  Be Warned.

 

OK, try what Wiz said originally, but ProgramData is a hidden folder. So you must unhide your hidden files and folders to view it.

Open an Explorer window, any, Choose organize, and from the drop down, choose Folder and search options.

Click the View tab, check "show hidden files and folders"

uncheck to hide protected system files.

Then you can view the files Wiz pointed you to.

 

When done, undo the steps you took to show hidden and system files.
