Just a suggestion to the folks around here...
It is my thought that much heartache could be avoided if a few words could be added to our vocabulary. If, perhaps, some were to suggest that an idea or feeling is just that, and idea or feeling, the response might be much more welcoming.
For instance:
'Why such and such is the case...' could be rendered 'Why I think such and such is the case...'
or perhaps:
'You idiot! Your view is stupid and you are too!' might be better said 'I compeletly disagree with your thought and don't see where you are comming from. Please explain.'
and then there is:
'Honey, your face could stop a clock' should perhaps be 'Honey, when I look at you time stops.'
Simply a few thoughts that may be of benifit to some out there.
