Bad UX

Additional options like these toggles should not hide when clicking on any/toggling. 
When I want to see the various options I don't want to go through the process of opening it all again and clicking the next option, as minor of an inconvenience as it might be. UX from the last century (in my opinion).
When I'm done doing what I want to do I simply click on a different part of the window to hide it again, the way it already behaves.

Clicking any of these options will result in the context menu hiding/disappearing. This shouldn't be the case. Neither here nor for windows or any software ever. The context menu should stay open (clicking through all the toggles, with the context menu NOT disappearing) unless I want to close it myself (by clicking anywhere else). I don't know why this has ever been a thing.

As I've written, minor inconvenience and probably personal preference here? But I've never understood why UX designers ever went with this in the history of UX design.

Have you tried Windows context menu? The menu that open when you right click on your desktop. Try it, try click on view and select large icon or any other size or any other item on that menu. It close itself once you click and select an item.

Yes, that's what I mentioned in my initial post. Why would anyone choose this over having it remain open instead till I decide to close this context menu? Talking specifically about options like "Icon Size" or "Sort by", where one might quickly want to go through several to check what suits best. For options such as "Create new folder" it totally makes sense. (I'm nitpicking obviously)

Perhaps, most Windows user expect similar behavior as Windows menu. There were users prefer one click and done. No need to click multiple times just to do something simple.
