after updating the laptop to the latest version 6.54 I'm no longer allowed to create a new fence or resize or move a current one. I've been looking at the forum trying to see what had been done to correct this but I havent had any success. Can you give any directions as to how to remedy this. Thanks.
Check the About tab in Fences first and make sure it reports 6.54 and shows as activated. If you haven't rebooted since the update, do that too.
If it still won't let you create, move or resize anything, a clean reinstall is the next step. Uninstall, reboot, install the current build from your Stardock account page, then reboot again.
Save a backup from the Layout tab before you uninstall, because a reinstall can take your existing fences with it. The backups are kept in AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups if you want to copy them somewhere safe first.
