My docks keep switching to the secondary screen

I have the latest version of object dock, which was made compatible with Windows 11.
I have 2 docks set up, both on the bottom edge of my screen, and both located on the primary monitor
But once every few days, somehow their setting switches to the secondary monitor, and I have to open the control panel to set them back to primary.
Can anyone tell me why is this happening?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Can't remember if this was reported by anyone before. Need to know your Windows 11 version and OS Build number, please use Winver.exe to get it.

Also, is the issue appear after a reboot, awake from long system sleep/inactivity or any specific steps to reproduce the issue?

There are no specific steps. At least not from what I've seen. It just seems to happen randomly.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Unfortunately this didn't work.
This time, I think it was triggered by me forgetting to turn on my main monitor in time.
Windows displayed everything on the secondary monitor, and then when I turned it on, it remembered to rearrange the icons and windows as they were before.
Object dock's settings, however, were not restored.

So you're saying that since the main monitor was not turn on, Windows consider your Secondary monitor as your primary monitor and put your dock there instead of your main. But, once you get the main monitor turn on, and Windows move your primary monitor to your main monitor, yet, your dock do not automatically move to your primary monitor, yes?

In this case, this is exactly what happened.
I'll keep an eye on it and see if similar things happen next time.

If it happen, please try restart explorer.exe and see if the dock return to its proper location.

It happened again today, but this time the monitors were both on. I guess they still initialized in the wrong order, I don't know
Restarting the explorer process doesn't seem to affect the docks in any way.

Thanks for posting.

I've looked into this a bit on my end (same build of Win11 and with two monitors). For me, the docks seem to go to whichever monitor is available.

For example, if I turn off my Primary monitor (where the docks are positioned) they go to the Secondary, etc. However, if I then turn the Primary back on, they restore back to the Primary without issue. I'm curious, does it happen this way for you? If not, can you possibly share a screenshot of how your dock is setup so we can attempt again to reproduce?

My monitors are weird. The primary one is on display port (144Hz) and the secondary one is on HDMI (60 Hz).
If I turn the primary off, Windows will keep the 2 display configuration for some time (not sure how much), and then at some point, it will stop detecting it and switch to one monitor configuration.
From what I've seen so far, whenever the 1 display configuration is active, the docks won't go back to the primary monitor.

Your dock seems to work as intended, because the setting seems to remain on the primary monitor.
So of course it will switch back to whatever the primary monitor is.

For me, however, the setting switches to secondary monitor for some reason, so the docks will stay on the wrong screen.

I can confirm that this issue is happening to me all the time and it is a nuisance. I have previously reported this issue but there was no acknowledgement from Stardock to to investigate and fix it. This is happening more than occasionally and it is frustrating to move the dock to primary monitor every time. Stardock needs to look into this issue and fix it.
