A stone's throw away from Stardock headquarters is a city
with some definite leadership problems. In Detroit, being my hometown, I'm seeing this
drama unfold as close to first hand as possible without being involved myself.
However, I'm also seeing other things unfold from this city that are being
shadowed due to our Mayor's drama. Something I hope to shed some well deserved
light on.
On August 10th, eighty members of Detroit’s Martin Luther King Jr. High School Marching Band,
one of only five bands chosen to perform at the Olympics, left to perform at
the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing,
China. The
eleven day trip schedules the band to perform in places like Langfang, Beijing, and the Great Wall of China. The link attached is the Detroit Free Press article. It's too bad this isn't getting half the press the other story is getting.
Best Wishes and good luck to MLK!
