Dear Stardock
The GalCiv series have been magnificent and I have several hundred hours in the games over the years. Gal Civ IV is looking very promising in the making, but for the love of this game; there must be fleet battles, where one can issue some commands and have a tactical dimension to the battles. It is very important for the immersion and the long term appeal of the series. All the best, Apos
I support this topic, without controlled battles, or at least automatically visual ones, the game will not reveal itself, give total war of galaxies civilization)) well, it's time, it's time to take a step in this direction,

many options on how to make a battle, this is the only thing I expect from the new part, I believe in you))
if nothing of the kind is planned, at least be honest about it, the game will not become less attractive for the majority. PPS I bought the game and I'm looking forward to the translation

I own every galciv, including IV, and although I like the games, I can only agree. Some degree of control or input in the battles would be great. Its the weak point of the series Imo. I know there has been a lot of debate about this, but I'm not asking a full instanced tactical battle model. I'm not a game designer, so I don't know how to do it, but the system we have now is lacking ( always my opinion of course)
Guys let me be the first to say I totally agree that some form of tactical combat or combat input or what not would be great and I've been arguing for that for YEARS. However, if there was ever a dead horse to be beat in the Gal Civ franchise this is it and it seems that the Gal Civ IV franchise isn't destined for that. I don't know what the final combat implementation will look like for GalCiv IV and maybe we'll get some nice options and mechanics added to fine tune engagements but I doubt we'll get full tactical. I've given up LOL.
The Dev Journal said that they didn't want it but then said they would add it to the beta version but now that the beta has been out for a while there is still does not appear to be any battleviewer. There isn't really any point in designing ships otherwise.
The battle viewer is coming. It's a big task.
