stop icons from leaving a fence

Is there a way to stop icons from being moved out of a fence or completely locking them in place? I am not sure if it is a bug or I just accidently move them but icons seem to randomly get moved outside of their fence, I have not seen it actually happen I have only noticed them outside of the fence. I want to be able to lock them in their fences.

That's a good feature request. I don't think there's any way to lock icons in their fences at this time.

I have the same prob - the Excel, Word icons (never jpgs, skp, or other types) constantly jump out of their fence.

And, it's only the files I have recently opened - not other files.

I uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled 3.03 - same prob immediately.

Any news or fixes w/ this bug?

I have the same problem: Any files I access from inside a fence gets moved to the desktop upon creating a new file on the desktop and renamed to the new file name. For instance, right click on desktop, create new text file and name it "blah". Upon hitting the enter button, any file I have opened within the fences jumps/moves to the desktop and gets renamed to "blah".

Right now it seems fences has crashed and all my icons that I had in fences are scrambled all over the desktop. Is there a way to restart fences without re-booting? I tried restarting explorer.exe and that doesn't help. I also tried starting fences with the fences.exe but get a message saying Fences doesn't appear to be loaded, you might have to re-install fences.

Any help will be appreciated.

Yep, I have the same issue. It drives me crazy. Daily I am having to grab icons that have broken away from their fences (like lost little sheep) and putting them back in their corral. I have no idea what it causing it to happen. I was a long-time user of an older version of Fences. After upgrading to Windows 10 I upgraded my Fences. The issue started at that time. I never had a problem previously. Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue but it's random. Occasionally an icon will jump out of a fence. Soon, as I click on it the icon will highlight then un-highlight after i let up on the button.
Also, after this happens, many times the icon will LOCK in place on my desktop. It will appear to drag, and there will be an icon under my pointer, but the original LOCKED icon is still showing on the desktop...

At this point I need to un-check the enable box on the "HOME" tab, wait for a few seconds then wait a good minute until finally all the icons return to the appropriate fences.

Hope there is something done on this soon. Getting tired of resetting Fences.
