Once you get past turn 400 expect frequent crashes. I know this a known issue, is there any date yet for a fix? While we are waiting, is there any way to work around this issue?

I have made it past 3000 turns, but only with a single AI opponent (the Iri's) that can't colonize beyond its starting colony ship without surveying lost colony ship(s) - See Steam Forum post Asset count & DB size in relation to crashes
You know if they fix it it will break the rules for the alpha and become fun! Mine crashed again last night on turn 350 or so.

After a crash, when I load the autosave game, the crash also happens at the next turn, but when I load the previous autosave game, I can usually play again normally.
In my current game I'm only at turn 302 so I'll be curious to see what happens when I get there...
I recently found a crash bug when removing an Omega Research building from a planet (killing off research once all viable components completed as game freezes once all available research is done).
If I left the building alone, I could play on. But even removing the building causes game crash at the end of the next turn cycle. I need to do some more testing before I submit since the planet in question has 8 or so SB's affecting it.
Yes, many people have it crashing as you get further into the game, Very buggy after many turns, this will be fixed, that's all part of the Alpha, we just have to wait, and hopefully it will be better in the next version, either Alpha 4 or Beta 1
