Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

Someone Out There? This issue should be easy to solve....

I created a thread a week ago called Customizing the CLASSIC start menu with a screenshot of what I was talking about, and nobody even viewed it... aren't there mods on here or something to help people out?

Shouldn't this be a simple thing to solve?

I'm looking to modify the background color, highlight colour and the font for both viewed and non-viewed items in the start bar and programs panel, and everything else, like control panel, for the classic start menu... for windows XP pro

see my previous post for a screenshot.

I viewed it but couldnt help you with it. I'm sure others did too. When you get no action on a question, the best thing is to give that thread a "bump", just like mike b1954 just did.

I think the classic Start Menu color is simply the "buttons" or "menu" colors. I forget which. It's likely that it's based on one of the common colors, so if you change it, it'll change the color in a lot of other places.

Getting the colors right for non-skinned items can be a bit of a pain. Especially when applications use their own colors mixed with system colors.

I dunno about everything else, but I get the feeling you want to change some things that can't be changed.

Skin Studio 6 has a whole section on XP specific stuff. XP control panel stuff is there.
