Firefox 3 Release & Stardock Site Compatibility
Jul 30, 2008 12:59

Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th.

There are currently known incompatibilities between Firefox 3 and many of our sites and forums. For the most part, the sites function properly, but have formatting issues. A specific example are the login & password fields to log into these forums. In Firefox 3, instead of both being on the same line, they are stacked vertically.

We will be addressing these visual issues in time. Please do NOT post threads on the forums pointing out Firefox 3 site issues. They will be deleted. We are aware of the problems and will work as quickly as we can to resolve them.

Until posted otherwise, the only version of Firefox our sites support at the moment is Firefox 2.

what color setting in skin studio changes the color of the text on the taskbar buttons (the names of the apps)?   I can't seem to locate it.

If you're using SKS6, it's here....

Edit Start Menu and Taskbar/Horizontal Taskbar/Buttons. Then click on the text tab.

Ah. I kept looking in Change Skin Fonts and Change Skin Colors. Thanks.

One more question. I found the background color of application toolbars and menus, but how about the background color of dialog boxes? I'd like them to go back to white.

What dialog boxes? Need to be a little more specific...a screenshot of what you need would be very helpful. Are you making a skin or altering one I could look at to see what you're talking about?

I'm altering StealthOS. I've managed to change the inactive window border color by changing the tga files with Photoshop. Now I would like to lighten up the gray background in two areas; dropdown menus (like when you click on File), and the background in dialog boxes (for example in Internet Explorer click on the Tools - Internet Options. That sort of dialog box.)

Oddly, I did lighten up the menu background(Firefox and Outlook work), but some programs like Quickbooks and Internet Explorer don't seem to use the same color setting for their dropdown menu background.

The dialog box you refer to is actually the tabs page. The images you need to alter are Tabs Border and Tabs Page.

The menu is the menu pulldown background image.

Got it. Thanks.
