Hi Everyone. I see no one has posted to this thread lately, so I thought I would Â

I just joined yesterday but have been looking around the website and reading for about 2 weeks.
I have been online since October, 1996 and went from a DOS based computer straight to Win95. Talk about a shock! I am now running WinXP and plan on keeping it til I am forced to do otherwise. Â

Â
I am from NC and am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Meaning I am licensed to take in and care for injured and orphaned wildlife. I have been doing this since the early 90's. Due to some health problems, I no longer take in wildlife, but I now run a website where I help people find licensed rehabilitators for the injured and orphaned wildlife they have found. So I spend on average about 14-18 hours a day on the computer.
Needless to say in the past month I have become sick to death of the Windows XP Classic blue task bar at the bottom of my screen... it was screaming to be changed to something other than what Windows was offering. So a quick search on Google brought me to Wincustomize! What a find it was.
But as with everything I do I needed to do some research and a lot of reading as I am just not one to download just anything and run it. One would never believe some of the old programs I have that I "brought over" to WindowsXP from Win98.
So I finally bit the bullet and installed WindowBlinds yesterday and so far have not been disappointed at all. I have found one quirk but have been able to search in the forums to find the answers on how to fix it if I have to do so. One other thing I have found I think is my fault and will play with changing skins another day and see if closing all of the open windows will fix that problem. It seems some toolbar icons from an old skin want to "hang around" after a skin has been changed. But I will figure it out or I know where to come and ask for help!
I know this was rather lengthy, but wanted to say howdy to all of the talented and most gifted artists I have seen on the internet. My hats off to all of you because I have not one artistic bone in my body.
