Other applications minimise when launching an app from start menu

HI,

When I launch an application from the Start menu, all my other open applications minimise.

This happens whether I se the mouse to click start then select an app, or use the keyboard start button, type the name of an app, then click enter to launch it.

It is only happening with Start11 - when I disable the Strat 11 start menu and return to the standard Windows 11 start menu, this behaviour does not happen.

I can't find a setting in Start11 to control this.

Is there  a way to switch it off?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know, Start11 don't control your application to minimize it. Just to be sure, if you have turn on Start11 enhance taskbar. Try turn it off. And see if the issue still there. 

Also, please share few more information on your system.

  1. Windows 11 25H2 full OS Build number. Use Winver.exe to get it.
  2. Which Start11 Start menu Style you're on now?
  3. Do you have any other 3rd party application running that also have control on your taskbar and Windows, such as DisplayFusion, Actual Window Manager etc.

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

1. 25H2 26200.9457

2. Windows Pro style

3. No other 3rd party application in use that controls windows or the taskbar. Other than Object Desktop with Start11 active.

I have switched off the enhanced taskbar, the issue went away.
And it has (so far) remained away after re-enabling enhanced taskbar.

I hope it was transient, and this change has resolved it
