I'm loving the fences demo so far. Another great Stardock product.
This following a feature I would 'really' love to be able to see in fences, and I'm almost nervous about using fences to its full potential without it.
- An option to set any fence grouping as 'read-only'. Particularly custom fences for non-desktop location. In a read-only fence...:
- You certainly cannot click-drag make any changes to a fence contents. (I.e. moving, or Ctrl drag copying). Includes 'within', 'into' or 'out of'.
- You certainly cannot 'del' delete highlighted items.
- You 'possibly' cannot make Ctrl-C/X/V changes. (Must context or fence menu open location in File explorer)
- You 'possibly' cannot perform any context menu changes. (Must context or fence menu open location in File explorer)
- You can only open/browse/launch files and folders. (Must context or fence menu open location in File explorer)
... or possibly rather than read-only, a 'padlock' mode, protected under the fence menu.
You can then possibly configure (globally will do?) what you want 'padlock' to mean.
