Update multiple folders simultaneously

Is there any way to simultaneously change the View of multiple cascading Folders in a Fence or Portal?

or perhaps an app wide default which can be set in the Registry?

This seems to have been brought up repeatedly for several years, at least since 2016, but been ignored so far as I can see.
