How to make the taskbar correctly small when theming?

Taskbar is slightly bigger than how I expected it when its sposed to be small

I've been making themes and I can't find out why my taskbar's size are always wrong and not how I wanted it to be. Made the taskbar buttons small and the start button small but that didn't work.

The height of the taskbar I want is to be 29 pixels high (basically the windows 95 or whatever classic small height) with the taskbar clock only showing the time, not the date.

This is shown in the preview and its the one I actually want to have.

And while in reality, this is what I always or usually get which is frustrating.

This taskbar's height is 35 pixels and this is quite annoying since I can't find out whats causing this.

I'm basically legit running into a brick wall with this problem.

I agree with you Dave, I usually have my top set at 2, and the bottom at 3, This shows the time and date, but you can play around with those numbers till you get what you want, and I have my task bar image height set at 30 pixels.

By the way, you can use negative values for those margins, which looks like what you may need to do to get the taskbar as short as you want without using Win10's "use small taskbar buttons" option.

Kind of funny, I never really played with it to see how short I could make it. You can really pack them in there if you like.

Thanks guys, sadly can't get the clock only show the time. (unless u want a really tiny taskbar)

Theres also a program called T-Clock that I tried making it only show the time only, except it kinda isnt compatible with windowblinds skinning sadly.

You can make the clock's font larger. It's in Edit Startmenu and Taskbar / Edit Horizontal Taskbars / Tray / Clock text / Extra Settings tab. If there's not already a font available to work, click on the "..." button at the right and add a new bigger font.

Between reducing the taskbar height and increasing the clock's font, you can probably come up with something workable.

There are a few ways of manipulating the Taskbar size, changing text margins being one of them. Don is correct, however depending on style and design you can actually make it between 30-65 pixels high
