Hello,
Recicle bin on win 10 does not update when you clear it. I have to refresh the desktop to show the new status of the recicle bin. This is not normal since the status update should be immediately.
Is this a bug? If so please address the problem on the next version.
I have been having the same issue. I would say the issue has been around since December for me as well.
Same here. I thought it was just me. Dunno if it's Fences, but I did uninstall Icon Packager and the problem still exists.
Mine works fine it clears

I have read somewhere that he solve the problem by disabling "Game Mode" on Windows 10. What he says is that Game Mode prevents Desktop to refresh hence problem with the incorrect recycle bin icons states.

Try that and report back if its help.
Much appreciate it.
Well, FWIW, I uninstalled both Fences and Icon Packager and I still have the problem. So, I think we can safely say it's not IP or Fences.
Hello Big Jim,
Did you try the Game mode solution?
I have now, and yes. Turning off Game Mode fixed it!! I never turned it on. MS sux again!!
Thanks, Jaz!
Really glad it work. Thank for letting us know.
Thanks. Check PM.

Ditto, I disabled Game Mode through the Registry, reinstalled fences and after a couple of hours (usually more than long enough for gremlins to run amok) I have had non of the issues I described in my previous post.
Thanks @basj (and @AzDude in regards to the PM I sent you).
For others with this problem, open settings in Windows 10, and go to the Gaming section to disable game mode. Easy.
Wow, that was the hard way, but you got it done, good! For others with this problem, open settings in Windows 10, and go to the Gaming section to disable game mode. Easy.
I would just like to add to this that the only reason I disabled game mode through the Registry is that I was unable to do it via the settings app. There is no toggle switch to disable Game Mode on my system. I've read that this might be due to the Fall Creators Update allowing user to enable/disable Game Mode on a per game basis now (perhaps there's hope of a patch for Fences for Game Mode lovers?) but I didn't have the time to chase it up....
Getting back to disabling Game Mode though, If you can turn it off with a simple toggle, I think it's the better way of doing it. I'm of the belief that the Registry is best left alone unless you know what you're doing or have no other alternate and follow a reputable guide online.
