He may not be quite gone, but reports suggest he is unlikely to make it through the day, which is quite sad. In any event, the news is again sad and he will be sorely missed in the world of rock. Tom Petty was/is one of my favourite performers with many a fabulous hit song to his name.
I saw Tom Petty back in the 80's when he accompanied Bob Dylan on his Australian tour, and what a great concert that was. Both artists were at their absolute best and each played several of their big hits. It was a fabulous concert and truly a night to remember.
