Does it work with Windows 10?
Unfortunately no, it does not work with it. I hope Stardock makes it work soon though, but personally I don't feel it's a high priority.
IP should NOT be installed on Windows 10 as per Stardock Support. If for some reason you would have to uninstall it, it can hose your OS.
Please don't take RND or Uvah personally, gary. They mean no offense. I see you're relatively new here, so hope this information helps you understand the situation with Win10 & IP: link link

There's no need to post that in several posts.
is there any softwear that stardock make that is simular to IP, i really like this package as i have several icons on my desktop i can easiely see what is what?
There is nothing else from us that changes icons except for Icon Packager.
Alright Thank you
Keep an eye out for IP news though
You sneeky dog, you. Great to hear.
Very cool, i will i LOVE that program
I downloaded the 30 day trail for iconpacker and i'm on day 3 and have had no problems with being able to change or display any of the icons i had before i changed over to Windows 10. So i guess that the icon packer does work on windows 10.
Right, because after all, what does Neil Banfield know...right? He informed W 10 users (on a different thread) not to install IP on W10 systems.
Let's hear back from you in 26 or 27 days when you try tho revert to the default W10 icons.
WOW a bit harsh don't you think?
I never said that Neil Banfield did not know what he was talking about, i never even read his message before this.
Why would i try "tho" to revert back to the Win10 default icons if the icon packer is working.
I was not looking for a fight, i was just stating that the icon packer was working for me.
On Win8 and 10 if you try to uninstall IP it breaks your icons and the only way to fix it is you have to reinstall Windows (from what I read).
I'm using it on Win 8.1and it works fine. If I try to use the default theme not all the icons change back. If I uninstall I get some IP icons and some blank ones.
Let us know what happens when the trial runs out.
Unfortunately bypassing the OS block is not a good idea.
We put these blocks in for very good reasons. I suspect if you tried to apply a theme without an ini icon for example you would get unexpected results (UAC shield icon I believe)
I'm so eager to see IP for Win 10 that I'll keep both eyes open for news.... which will be most welcome. I have been so desperate to 'not see' the Windows default icons that I've been using executable icon pack from devart, but the better solution would be Iconpackager as it is easier to change packages.
