Paper junk mail that comes to your real mail box and front door:
You don't order it but you get free phone books, flyers, business cards,
catalogs, coupons, magazines, newspapers and so on.
I get so much every week that I have to get rid of it every week or I would
be swimming in it. Multiply that times the millions and millions of people
who also get this stuff and in one year you could probably pile it up
into deep space.
How much energy does it take to produce this stuff, ship it to us,
send it to be recycled or send it to the dump?
How much material is used to produce this stuff?
Recently I received a free preview issue of a magazine that I did not order.
In this magazine there was an article about saving the planet.
If you want to save the planet, it seems like the first thing you should do
is put an end to all this Junk mail.
If you can't accomplish that then I don't want to hear any more about saving the planet.
