being able to run Metro apps in a desktop window?

no ... that can't be it. nothing "wonderful" about that due to the lack of interesting Metro apps.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've had Windows 8 for 2 weeks now and the only thing that made it bearable to use was Start 8, now you come out with something new!

Well right on Stardock

This is one company I have supported with my Object Desktop Purchase and subsequent renewals since 2004, and a multitude of other upgrades to software and new ones when they came out.  I love their products and all are usable and well designed.  Something NEW sounds fun and worthwhile to investigate.  Will be waiting anxiously to see what it is all about.

Fences, Deskscapes, Tiles, Start8, Decor8

 

Lots to live up to Brad .

 

I really like Windows 8, it is like Windows 7 on steroids. Sure some programs are not compatible "yet", but many are. I like having the option to switch between the Windows 7 and Windows 8 desktops. Many other great new features in Windows 8 as well. They have been debated here ad nauseum. Stardock and WC always make any Windows experience better.
