OK. Skin W7 with Winstep to look like that.

But no matter what, I'll probably bop on over to another skin.

Simple is one thing.

Stark is quite another.

I like my toys and Win8 doesn't seem to have a place for them. They can keep it.

Does the quote mean that you can have windows 8 and make it look like win7 desktop and have all our fancy stuff we like to make? I know it sounds that way but sometimes i'm not to bright reading things I think they mean.

It's all flat to me...what has happened to 3D design? It looks so much better to me than this flat, mono look. Lack of colors, lack of style; yish. Just my opinion.

I certainly like it better than Metro! But give me a Windows 7 interface any day over that even.

I like the flat and smooth, but I don't like how large a lot of the elements are.  A little more real estate for content, please!

This is what Windows 8 on the desktop should have looked like.

It has a lot of elements that I am seeing in chrome and other Google stuff right now like G+. I like it. 

I've tried out a few Metro interfaces that are out there that you can install on W7. Metro has it's merits, but it seems to me it's geared for touch screens. Touch screens seem nice and all, but like my droid, how the hell do you keep the screen clean all of the time. I've spent five years teaching my daughter not to touch the damn tv screen. Once she see's me using a touch screen PC it's all over.
