Do you have a dock on the same edge of the screen as Tiles?
No, but if it helps: I use tiles on a second monitor.

What do you have your dock(s) set to do, auto-hide-wise?
the dock is on "regular".
If you set it to "Keep on Top", does the issue persist?
no, the problem still exists
