Probably this weekend. I'm working on a flak shield/point defense ability for battlestars and watching to see how the AI expands and fairs against other factions.
I've been through a few different variations of point defense systems trying to bridge the gap between ships with standard shielding. I'm starting to settle on the idea of Battlestars having a form of flak shielding after watching the series some again. Basically the ability would use the Sin's shield mitigation mechanic to reduce incoming damage while using the flak ability.
I've also got the fleet supply a lot higher for Colonial frigates/cruisers so they feel less spammy and more formidable. This is where watching the AI expand comes in. I've noticed it's definately less spammy than the stock fleets and I was kind of worried how they would fare. Though I'll note the took down a nearby TEC and Vasari in a 4v4 game where I pretty much observed as the ninth player. It still needs some tweaking but I like the larger supply values, and one AI still built 7 Battlestars, lol.
