I want to start off SLOWLY I have a 3D image I want to use as a background for my "bootscreen". I keep reading these tutorials and the more I read, the more confused I get.
1) Is there a limitation on the color bit for background images that I can use on my "bootscreen", not logon screen. I know it is 16 bit for animation but what about background bmp's?
2) Is it a requirement that bootscreens be animated?
3) I have tried using Window7 Boot Updater I have 64 bit and it simply is unstable when I even attempt to open a folder to view bootscreens already made either here or at Deviant Art. Is there a simpler software...for MAJOR Bootscreen Dummies like me? (I am sure I am not alone in this .
4) I honestly want to add animation to it and I know it has to have under 105 frames or less and will repeat.
I am simply stuck in getting it started. I do not plan on making my own animation -- found one I want to use and I can manage that part I believe, since from what I have viewed animations have been placed in various parts on that screen in what I have seen in many.
If possible please include links.
THANKS a heap for all assistance.
