I know I'm going on about this but its bugging me to no end. I agree that the program I was using is a child's toy compared to PS. I absolutely love photoshop now that I have it. What I'm doing is looking for tuts to learn more and I'm finding maybe one out of a dozen I can actually use.I have tried several and managed to finish just one. The others weren't meant for my version, they go CS3 or higher.
My biggest beef is with these tutorials. The majority of them are more than three years old, poorly written, steps are left out, ill explained and I was just over at photoshop tower trying for the dark tower tut and right after step three image changes from a rounded rectangle shape to a square shape and the author never explains that and what's worse doesn't tell newbies, and there were a few, that you can't edit vector masks which is what the shape applies. Not a regular layer but a vector mask and you cannot apply blending changes to them either.
This has me more frustrated than you can imagine and I just needed to get it off my chest. It wouldn't be so bad if one comment made in '2006' was never replied to! What does that say about the website. I'm beginning to think that these tuts are a persons fifteen seconds of fame and accuracy means nothing. My rant.
