Join In Wishing Happy Australia Day To Some Great Folks!

To everyone in Oz, Happy Oz (Foundation) Day!

Well, I'd be remiss were I not to notice that today is Australia Day (actually Jan. 26th is) but with the time differential I don't know it isn't still (or going to be) Foundation Day, the day the first boat arrived in Oz....

And if, (G-d forbid) I missed it by a day, I most humbly apologize to some wonderful folks: Jafo, Vampothika, starkers and mrs. starkers, SydneySiders, Nimbin, and anyone/everyone I might have missed.

You folks ROCK! And this place would be too durned quiet without you all!

Happy Foundation Day, mates....a slab on me!

It was two days ago Doc.

Quite right. They do rock. 

 

I went fishing on Oz Day, came back for tea and put the fish on the barbie, invited everyone over. Sat back with a beer and listened to the magpies, on a warm afternoon.

Life is good

Aussie day was Tuesday [Monday US time]....made for a great 'long-weekend' as everyone took the Monday off too....

King Islander here....

BTW....King Island was never formally handed over to Tassie so is still part of the Colony of NSW.

Makes me a New South Wales Colonial ....
