Does anybody know what Skin this is?

Hi there

I was not that happy with the look of my new Windows 7 and I remembered that I used WindowBlinds earlier. So I just installed the new version and I'm overwhelmed with the high amount of skins avaliable. It'll take years to go through each preview...

Actually I would like to get the look back I had years before with WindowBlinds. But I only have a screenshot of how a window looked like on my computer:

  • does somebody know what skin this could be and if it's still available?
  • or are there any current skins in a similar style?

Without anything else to go on this will be tuff to find. 

Do you have a time frame that you think you downloaded it? 

At the time you downloaded it was it a new or possibly a featured skin? 

I take it this is the only screenshot you have of it? 

You are sure you found it in the WinCustomize Library?

I downloaded this skin in 2001, but I have no idea if it was in WinCustomize Library.

I'm still going through all the available current skins, but it takes too much time since there is no overview with details.

So I would be also happy if anybody knows about a skin that is in a similar style like my old one was.

Okay, atleast we have a year, any chance of narrowing that down?  The reason I ask is you can go back through the pages and get to 2001 and look from there back.

Not sure it will work with newer operating systems though...... There's a good chance the start menu won't be skinned at all...... plus lots of other things.

I just didn't go back far enough, does look like an interesting skin. 

Wonder how it looks on Win 7?  Drachenstein66 you need to do a screenshot of your desktop and show us how it looks.

Mike, how did you find that? Cool! It's really "Violaceous" by hyaline!

And I still think that it's the most beautiful skin, just look at the nice borders of a window. It's really something very special!

I could load it and it is still in the same beauty like it was before:

Missing Checkboxes

and see how nice the drop down menus are:

Nice Pull Down Menus

...but it has the same problem like many other skins (only under Windows 7?); the checkboxes are missing (like you can see on the first pic).

Start menu and Taskbar also look strange and "unskinned", I could live with that, but checkboxes are a very nice thing I just can't live without *g* ....

Is this artist still in the business or is there a chance that this skin could be reworked a little bit from somebody else? With a donation for sure!
