Banned for I dunno about ass the species, but a piece of ass [as in a rear end] is something he'd pursue across the desert in his bare feet if he thought he'd get some.

As for which direction that'd be...

Banned for most folks here in Oz know that is West as far as the crow flies... emus used to fly the same route until they got greedy and somewhat overweight
