Stranger things ARE happening....

Why 2 titles?

Dudes and dudettes, I have a strange thing happening on my PC that has never happened before. I was hoping someone had a clue.

Every time I load a DX theme, any theme with a media player, the last song I had listened to on that PC automatically plays with the DX player. I can't figure out how to stop it, it is very annoying.

 Ideas welcomed!! Help.

Does it play without you clicking the play button?

Does your Windows Media Player have the last song played cued?

My guess would be the WMP settings.

Then again, could be that redneck music your playing is just screwing it all up. That's why I stopped playing Ray Stevens "Jeremiah Peabody's Poly Unsaturated Quick Dissolving Fast Acting Pleasant Tasting Green And Purple Pills" on mine.

I had a problem similar to this on Vista. I found a sidbar gadget  running in the background that kept the media player queued up all the time but the gadget nor the media player were visible. With the media player closed, open task manager, sort by name and check if the media player or a media player gadget appear in the list. If so, use msconfig to keep them from loading at start up.

CG, I'll look into that. It only happens upon loading a DX theme. I checked Media Center and WMP last night, but I didn't check task manager. Seems to me that everytime I use Media Center it puts an entry into my startup.
