Hi there everyone
This is my first post... I did search for the solution elsewhere but to no avail.
So i got some new hardware for my ever-aging pc, I formatted my drive and reinstalled windows. So I decided my desktop will need some sprucing up after lloking at this: http://www.deviantart.com/#order=9&q=invi
So everything went as it was supposed to, no hiccups or problems. So i rebooted and the color of the window bacgrounds (shell color i think) reverted to the default grey (Should be black from the skin) . So I fiddled with the settings: force shell coloring, always use this shell, etc. After I applied these settings it worked, it changed the color to what is was supposed to be, until i rebooted. It keeps changing back to gray.
Next I went into the advance settings in the display settings, in appearance and after i fiddled with somw settings and tried to apply it I got an error saying the visual style could not be applied. But the color DOES change. But i dont want to do this every time I reboot.
I first supsected a software conflict, but what can it be? It was a clean install. Maybe TuneUp Utilities?
Windows Xp SP3
Windowblinds 6.2
MSI 790 G45
Athlon X2 5000+
4GB Kingston 800mhz DIMMS
ATI RX2600XT
500GB Seagate
160GB Western Digital.
Any Ideas??
