"no .uis file"

When I try to doubleclick WaterworldDx to install in windowblinds after it is downloaded i get a missing skin data message stating "there appears to be no .uis file in this skin. are you sure it is a Window Blinds Skin"? What am I doing wrong? Help

I think you're talking about Waterwold DX here: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=4207&libid=31

If so, that is not a Windowblinds skin, it is a Desktop X theme. Desktop X would have to be installed to use it, that's a program different from Windowblinds. I see the download is a zip file which includes a .desktop file, neither of which should have prompted Windowblinds to try to install them. From your other post, I'm wondering if you renamed the file extension. Won't work.

Keep plugging away, you'll get the hang of it, and there's frequently somebody hanging around here to help, even at 4:00 in the morning [yawn].
