Confusing ObjectDock problem

Okay, can't figure this one out.

I've had ObjectDock installed and been a happy user for some time now (about a year or so) and this is the first time I've encountered any sort of problem.

Did a system restart with OD working fine and dandy, then when Windows startup was complete my OD looked like this on screen:

What's the deal there? I should have over a dozen docklets in four or five different group. But now I just have this little trapezoid thingy. And when you move the cursor from the center to the left of the shape, it bulges out on the right. Vice versa when you move from the center to the right. It's weird.

Any suggestions?

I believe what you've got there is an empty dock with the default background (Vector Cell). It would act as you've described. Not sure what's happened to the dock you had.

If you saved the old dock theme you can re-load it using the Object Dock config - Themes section, "Load previous dock" button.

If not, then if you have a general system backup that was made after the dock was created, you can pull the settings from C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\ObjectDock (or ObjectDockPlus) if it's included in the backup.

Otherwise, I think you're in for re-creating it unless anyone else has a better idea.

First, make sure you have saved your current theme, then clear the ObjDock cache;

Then, unload/quit ObjectDock so that it is not running, and then go to Start > Run... (Start > Start Menu Search in Vista) and then copy this into the Run command line:

for XP: %userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock

for Vista: %userprofile%\AppData\local\stardock\

It will open a file folder. Delete any ObjectDock or ObjectDock Plus folders.

Launch ObjDock and verify that it opens as it's default look, if it does, then reload your saved Dock theme.

Thanks for the replies - I ended up simply re-building it from scratch. Didn't know about the Object Dock config tool; will keep that in mind next time.
