What happens if I uninstal service pack 3 from my computer.
You'll likely hose your system. It is never a good idea to uninstall a Service Pack.
If you do decide to go that route, backup any important files in case you have to reinstall the OS.
this was true with SP2, uninstalling SP2 usually meant losing everything and doing a clean windows install. I made that mistake once...LOL
I don't think SP3 is "imbedded" (for lack of a better term) the way SP2 is.
personally I have installed and uninstalled SP3. I installed it and found out that my old skinning software StyleXp was not compatible with it so I uninstalled it.
then I started using WB and reinstalled SP3.
Had absolutly no problems uninstalling SP3 or with sytem operation afterward. The system reverted back to SP2 according to my computer properties. One funny thing though I did notice. My copy of XP is pre SP2 integration thus I have to install SP2 after the fact which causes SP2 to show in the control panel add/remove programs list. upon uninstalling SP3, SP2 was removed from the list though my computer properties states my windows version is 2002 SP2.
