So, it's been a couple of years since I last used SD Central or even purchased the Object Desktop suite. I booted it up today so I could browse WinCustomize through its built-in interface, but as it was trying to update its own components, it basically crashed. Several tries yielded the same result.
Figuring there must be a newer version available, I check online and it appears to not be made anymore, but seems to be supplanted by something called "Impulse." Okay, no problem, I'll give it a shot. After installing Impulse, however, I don't see any way to browse WinCustomize via its interface the way I used to from SD Central. It does appear to have the ability to update my products, at least, which is good...
I also checked and there doesn't seem to be the WinCustomize browser anymore, which was at least a decent substitute. So, do I have to go back to the old way of just browsing the WinCustomize site and downloading the skins and such that I want, installing them manually? Or is there a way to browse and install automatically, the way SD Central used to?
If I have to do things manually from now on, that's okay, but I'd like to save the things that I downloaded & installed with SD Central and the WinCustomize browser. Any ideas on the best way to do that?
Thanks!
