Well it happened. I never imagined, a few years ago, what would be in store for me when I decided to visit WinCustomize. I never imagined a hobby that would grow, along with meeting some great people and building new friendships, but it did.
When the screen saver gallery opened here a few years ago, I was hooked and I wanted to learn to make them. There was a lot of inspiration too.
Littleboy’s Flurry and his other screen savers got the gallery off the ground, and gave me the spark to start the SummerBreeze screen saver (my first).
ReaperKeaper’s 58 Death Caddy and his other screen savers introduced me to video screen savers, and the inspiration for the RedRacer screen saver.
However, Adni 18 and Himangshu’s screen savers taught me the most.
A few people I want thank personally are:
Quentin (aka Arileen Designs) for the opportunity to make the Arileen screen saver and teaching me that the community was more than just at WinCustomize.com
Po’ Smedley for the continuing inspiration, your artwork, and friendship has inspired me the most.
SK Originals for the opportunity to make the Hollyday Screen Saver (my first screen saver based on a WindowBlinds) and Pumakitten for the testing and critiquing of many of the screen savers.
WOM for the kick in the pants and being encouraging when it was needed (concerning a certain aborted Halloween screen saver), and Hankers for all of the support for the RSS screen saver.
Lastly but not least Jafo, the Master Moderator, for always being there when I would have a problem or two…he always took care of them.
Thanks again WinCustomize.com for the hobby and the opportunity of sharing it.
